Updates + Reminders

This is quick post to detail a few of the updates occurring on the server in the future and is another way that we attempt to keep our community informed on what is going on with the server and such.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on several new updates for the server including multi-worlds among many other things. These will be released soon and will once again enhance the game-play experience present on the server.

We will also been cleaning up certain parts of the map particularly around spawn and in those areas left abandoned by players. In order to further this project we have established some simple guidelines that allow a building to be up for demolition and hopefully the community can get involved in this. These rules include:

1 month of inactivity without a post. (Can be checked using /seen username)
A moderator's permission to demolish

Those are the only steps that you need to follow when wanting to demolish a building and this will not only help the server to stay clean looking but players will also be rewarded to an extent and gain more space for building.

We are also looking at more options for advertising and growing the server through things such as GoogleAds and other methods. If you have any ideas feel free to post them in this thread. I will also make a thread regarding advertising in a few days where ideas can also be posted.

Exposing the Truth

This will be the final post regarding this drama and server split of sorts. I feel as if its necessary to expose the entire truth in this situation and call forth the questionable character of certain members involved in this division. These members most notably Camtaro and Vokerr, who were once trusted by me, had been plotting the downfall of MyriadCraft for the past few weeks. With the registration of their site and server in the beginning of March it can be proven that this plot had been in the works for some time and was the culmination of an attempted coup. With the aid of several banned players who have been enemies of MyriadCraft for some time these two went about plotting to start their own server due to their power hungry nature and their inability to serve under someone else. Seizing an opportunity while I was away visiting colleges and trying to better myself these two started numerous rumors through mass PM and other means which caused mass paranoia amongst the server's players. These rumors included that I was evading taxes and that I was taking server donations for my own personal gain all of which have been disproven. They even went as far as to accuse me of altering the screenshots of proof in which I provided as my defense. Once these claims were completely disproven those users admitted to being misinformed and falsifying the claims. How can these users be trusted with anything? Seeing as they have constantly lied and swindled people in order to promote their corrupt ambitions. This shows the true amount of desperation in which these users had come to as they had no true grievances against me and were only interested in stealing players from the server as they were incapable of gaining them through legitimate measures.

If you follow the link posted below you can see a full-lenghth skype conversation between several users involved in this coup of sorts. I would highly recommend scrolling through the entire conversation as it exposes many truths about this attempted coup. These users not only showed extreme disrespect to me and many other users on the server but they also attempted to once again accuse me of something that they knew was not true in order to fragment the community and get players to join their server. They crossed the line even further by attempting to find my home address and a plethora of other information about me and my personal life. I understand that the majority of these users have nothing to do in real life however this is going to far.

Camtaro also turned off the server and attempted to blame it on the server host. A phone call to the sever hosted disproved this. In actuality this turning off of the server was in order to make Myriad inaccessible for a few days so that all players would be redirected to their server. No attempts to contact me in order to notify me that the server was offline were made. On the day that the server went offline beforehand, Camtaro and a few other rouge moderators decided to unban banned players and proceeded to grief large portions of our beautiful map and clear the server logs so that the damage could not be rolled back. They have stooped to a level that can truly not be redeemed.

Due to these users attempts the community has been fragmented. With the exposure of the truth I hope more and more members will become informed and understand the severity of the situation. I wish for all users to make an educated decision on which server they decide to play on as the facts presented above go to further the point that both Camtaro and Vokerr can not be trusted and have questionable characters. Use your intelligence and investigate things, do not immediately assume everything someone posts on the internet is the truth. Following a mob mentality is not always the best course of action I would hope that users on the server had more trust in my character and that I would never do any of those accused behaviors. I run the server for all of your enjoyment not my personal gain.

Neverthless Myriad has come back from this unfortunate chain of events and will continue to grow and prosper. Although enemies do exist on the outside they will never bring us down and we on Myriad will not stoop to the level of many of our enemies. We are above that and hold ourselves to a higher standard. With the repair of the majority of the greifing along with the installment of trustworthy staff members we begin the process of moving on from this event as a stronger and better server than we were beforehand.

What REALLY Happened - Drama, Lies, and Betryal

Over the past four or so days I have been away from my home visiting colleges as I currently have a short break from school. During my time absence a large amount of rumors and bullshit as a whole has been circling around the server. I want to make this post to clear up all the rumors and lies and show what really happened. I have not only been betrayed by my closet allies on this server I have had numerous attempts to smear my name and good reputation. Several other servers who often attempt to harm our server have taken advantage of this situation to steal our players and cause panic and uproar within the Myriad community. Taking advantage of this situation and exploiting both the communities fears and lies that have been circulating certain staff members have founded their own server and completely betrayed my trust.

First several uses claim that I use donations for my own personal use and other crap like that however in actuality I have done nothing of that sort and as I state on our donation page NONE of the donation money goes towards me or any other server staff member. I will now post screenshots that validate my claims. Please click the following links to view screenshots that prove that I have not taken a SINGLE penny for my personal use. Eventually we wish to spend some of our money on advertising and later down the line we want to buy our own dedicated box which costs in the thousands of dollars range.

Aswell certain uses are claiming that I use the server box to DDOS other servers. That is as far from the truth as you can get. Other servers frequently attempt to DDOS us and we have had to increase our protection at our data center in order to combat these frequent attempts including the installation of extra routers that blacklist IP's and other countermeasures. I myself do not participate in any sort of DDOS'ing or hacking even from my personal computer. Its not only pointless but also illegal and if any sort of this action occurred from the server itself our IP would be easy to track and those alleging these claims would be able to come up with the IP and other forms of evidence.

I will be answering more questions in the coming days and urge you to stay with us. If you have any personal concerns or questions feel free as always to send me a PM. There is a lot of betrayal going around coupled with rumors so please be weary of who you take information from. Neverthless Myriad will continue to run and move forward in the coming days.

The Past Few Days

Over the last two days I have been away from home visiting colleges and I have had no internet access. Due to this I have not been in the loop with server related maters and I am back now. From what I have heard a lot of different rumors have been swirling around the server and such. None of these are true and have for the most part been formulated by those either misinformed or those looking to sabotage the server and the community. I wish to quick this post brief as I need to get back to solving a few server errors. However a few things I need to make clear I'm not in server hosting for the money and not a penny goes to myself or any other staff members. I will post more info in the next few hours. I thank you for your patience and wish for you to stick with us through this turbulent time.

MyriadCraft has been Updated to 1.2.4!

I have updated the server to 1.2.4. This new version of minecraft was released today meaning this was one of our quickest updates ever! 1.2.4 is mainly a bug patch for minecraft as a whole but it also includes a few interesting additions such as improved chat functions and added functions to cats.

In the next few days on Myriad we will be implemented more features as part of our next patch. These will include multiworld support and a lot of other cool features that are secret at the moment.
